Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. This role involves assisting with general accounting tasks while ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial principles, payroll procedures, and compliance with labor laws. Key Responsibilities:Process and calculate employee payroll, including salaries, wages, bonuses, and deductionsEnsure accurate tax deductions, benefits, and compliance with local labor lawsMaintain payroll records and ensure timely payroll processingAssist in recording and reconciling financial transactions, including accounts payable and employee reimbursementsSupport month-end and year-end closing processesPrepare and maintain financial reports and documentationAssist with tax filings, audits, and regulatory compliance related to payroll and accountingCollaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee data for payroll processingAddress payroll discrepancies and resolve employee inquiriesStay updated on payroll regulations, tax laws, and best practices Qualifications & Skills:Required:Associate and/or Bachelor of Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3-5 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree preference.1-3 years of experience working in a finance or accounting related roleAbility to prioritize work to meet tight and strict deadlinesHigh attention to detail and accuracy in financial calculationsAbility to perform high-volume manual data entry accuratelyAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive informationExcellent problem-solving and organizational skillsStrong communication and teamwork abilitiesPreferred:Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., CBIZ, QuickBooks Payroll) and accounting systemsStrong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax deductions, and benefits calculationsExperience working for a multi-entity healthcare organizationExperience in Revenue Cycle Management for physician groupsCompensation & Benefits:$30-$35/hour based on experienceMedical, Dental, Vision, Life and AD&D, Short Term Disability insurance is offered to employees at no cost, with the option to purchase additional coverage for spouse, dependents, or familyGenerous PTO (vacation, holidays, sick time)Market leading retirements savings 401(k) and profit sharing potentialOpportunities for career growth and professional developmentSupport for payroll and accounting certificationsCollaborative and inclusive work environment
