This position provides an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced coaching staff, contribute to player development, and promote teamwork and sportsmanship within the program.Responsibilities- Assist the head coach in planning and conducting daily practice sessions, ensuring a focus on skill development, teamwork, and game strategies.- Provide guidance and support to student-athletes during practices and games, fostering a positive learning environment.- Help organize and supervise team activities, including games, tournaments, and community service events.- Monitor the academic and athletic progress of student-athletes, promoting a balance between academics and sports.- Assist in the development of game strategies and tactics, providing input on player positions and formations.- Support the head coach in maintaining team discipline and adherence to school and athletic policies.- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team updates, schedules, and expectations.- Attend all practices, games, and team meetings, demonstrating commitment to the program and its athletes.- Assist in the evaluation of player performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.- Help maintain equipment and facilities, ensuring a safe and organized environment for training and competition.Requirements- Previous experience playing or coaching football at the high school level or higher is preferred.- Strong understanding of football fundamentals, strategies, and rules of the game.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with student-athletes, parents, and staff.- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes while promoting teamwork and sportsmanship.- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.- Availability to work evenings and weekends during the football season.- Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain prior to the start of the season.- Completion of background check as required by school district policies.- A passion for developing young athletes and contributing to their personal and athletic growth.DEADLINE TO APPLY: Until FilledTO APPLY: Please visit our website at www.charlotteorioles.com to complete an application.
