Freedom Technology Solutions Group seeks a dynamic and curious Systems Administrator to support the on-site Operations & Maintenance of Government geospatial data mapping and visualization infrastructure and applications.Responsibilities:Management of medium-to-large-scale government data warehouses or digital archive managementEnsure Security compliance requirementsProvide on-site tiered help desk support to user baseWill work onsite in a SCIF with operational phone duty rotationManage and maintain software versions and patching updates via AWS toolsContribute technical insights to guide the system's cloud hosting strategyDevelop monitoring dashboards to alert on software operational statusMetrics, performance reporting, system health and status of medium to large scale storage and processing systemsStorage maintenance and capacity planningHW/SW troubleshootingMicrosoft WSH programmingScript programmingAudit log management and administrationProvide expert support in the administration and maintenance of the Enterprise Linux infrastructureProvide support in information security system requirements and design applicable to Linux hostsManage Linux systems using config management tools; handle patches and mitigate IAVA vulnerabilitiesImprove system operations and functionality, monitoring, and optimization of the hardware platform.Implement STIG guidance to support ATO sustainment effortsTroubleshoot and resolve network, automation pipelines, and infrastructure issuesCloud VPC, Compute Services, Storage Management, Monitor and Observability, Identity and Access managementExperience in Database Administration and system monitoring, including Linux command-based troubleshootingProvide technical input, assist in the maintenance of system administration, security policy/procedure documentationManage and troubleshoot Configuration Management tools, covering Linux and Database Administration tasks such as configuration and upgradesDocument system configuration, external service dependencies, optimal settings (Authentication/Authorization/Accounting (AAA), resource allocation), and standard procedures (startup/shutdown, backup, upgrade)Software: Apache Webserver, PostGres SQL/PostGIS, OMAR, OSSIM, RedHat LINUS, FreeIPA, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Internet Information Service, OGC Web Services (WMS, WFS, WCS), Google Earth Client, Geospatial productsHardware: Network Attached Storage (NAS) deployment and maintenance; Firewall, switch and router installation, deployment and maintenance; serverMinimum Qualifications:5+ years of technical experience in maintaining automated system platforms for the intelligence community.Demonstrated success with Linux, database system administration, and scripting.Open source and custom application deployments and maintenance experience to include ATO and patching for cyber compliance.Communicate effectively with customers and team in written and oral forums.Degree or equivalent demonstrated experience in a technical field.Active Security Clearance.Experience with or understanding of authentication and authorization A&A fundamentals.Familiarity with common industry software tools, concepts, and systems administration.Familiarity with Data management, Data integration, User Interface, Hardware, Databases.Strong Linux skills and familiarity with hybrid cloud/on-prem architecture, AWS, C2S, etic.CI/CD development experience with Jenkins, GitLab, Ansible, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and/or Docker.What's in It for You?Flexible work environmentA team mentality – work with friendly, like-minded professionalsWork with innovative, cutting edge technologiesEnjoy extremely competitive compensation and benefitsA work-life balance you can count onOpportunities to grow and advance your career on our dimeBenefits You Get with FreedomAmazing benefits including matching 401k, fully paid medical, and moreGenerous paid time off – including paid site closure daysCompetitive salary offeringsPaid training and tuition reimbursementFully paid life and disabilityCompany sponsored events (game nights, holiday party, summer party, happy hours)Interested in learning more about Freedom and our culture?
