The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a prep cook, you will be responsible for preparing and creating recipes to ensure high-quality food is delivered to our four restaurants.ResponsibilitiesReview the Daily Prep List at the start of each shift for assigned tasksComply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policiesSafely transport food supplies, equipment, and utensils between storage and work areasUse Standard Recipe Cards for food preparation; avoid relying on memoryPrepare various foods (meats, vegetables, desserts) according to standardized recipes using approved cooking methodsReceive and store food supplies and equipment in designated areasUtilize manual or electric appliances for food preparation tasksStore food in properly labeled containers to prevent spoilageClean and sanitize workstations, including tables, shelves, equipment, and floorsRemove trash and maintain clean garbage containersComplete opening and closing checklists and assist team members as neededNotify supervisors of equipment issues and low inventory to facilitate timely orderingSupport team members to ensure efficient operations and high guest service standardsStanding and walking up to eight hours continuouslyLifting up to 50lbs alone, and up to 80lbs as a teamSupplementalButcher and clean meat, fish, and poultry to prepare for cooking or servingLoad dishes, glasses, and tableware into dishwashing machinesOperate vacuum sealer for safe and secure packaging of prepared foodsComply with HACCP Plans and ensure safe cooling and handling of food productsBenefitsHealth Insurance optionsDental Insurance optionVision Insurance option401k with company matchingPaid time off programEmployee dining discountsRequirementsAt least two years experience in a similar role and knife skills requiredStanding and walking up to eight hours continuouslyLifting up to 50lbs alone, and up to 80lbs as a teamSalary Description
