Job TypePart-timeDescriptionPosition SummaryThe Physical Therapist Technician supports Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants in delivering quality patient care. Under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, the role will assist with operational tasks including patient intake and preparation, observation and documentation, among other clinic maintenance responsibilities.Schedule: Monday and Wednesday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM; Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.Compensation: Starting compensation range is $21.00-$23.00 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.ResponsibilitiesSupporting Physical Therapists in preparing treatment area, equipment, and materials for patient care.Prepares patients for physical therapy treatment by welcoming, providing and/or assisting patient into physical therapy apparel or apertures.Under the direction of the Physical Therapists, assisting patients with exercises (in addition to walking, sitting, standing, etc.), helping with transfers, and providing support during treatments.Educating patients regarding physical therapy treatments and exercises, including proper use of equipment.Observing patients performing prescribed physical exercises and immediately reporting concerns.Documenting patients' responses to treatment and updating patient files.Performing basic prescribed treatments such as applying ice packs or heat pads as instructed.Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and therapy areas, ensuring clinic is in compliance with safety and sanitation protocolsPerforming administrative tasks, including ordering supplies, answering phone calls, and scheduling appointments as necessary.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredCPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to lift and move up to 50lbs regularlyAbility to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of physical therapy principles and techniquesKnowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medicationsAttention to detail and excellent organizational skillsOutpatient or previous healthcare setting experience is preferred.Bilingual in Spanish preferred.Why You Should Join Our TeamAgile Occupational Medicine is a leading occupational medicine group with a network of 41 centers dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare services to businesses and their employees across California and Yuma, Arizona.
