DescriptionPosition Summary:This role serves as a project manager within the Blood Culture PMO team, providing strategic oversight of high-impact initiatives that drive new product development, product enhancements, and lifecycle management. These efforts are aimed at strengthening our Blood Culture market position and addressing the evolving needs of our customers. In addition, this role contributes to continuous improvement of the PMO framework.Job Duties Include:Leads project teams, ensuring projects' scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements are metAligns projects' goal and priority with organizational strategyShapes business cases, charters, and benefit/value trackingLeads the development of project plans, schedule and budget estimation, and resource allocationConducts or assists with feasibility studies, vendor evaluations, and proposal reviews, ensuring compliance with project standardsMaintains regular communication with stakeholders, clarifying expectations, and providing status updates on project milestones, risks, and issues/solutionsPromotes adherence to project management best practices, support team development, and ensure quality control throughout project executionLeads cross-site, multi-country team coordinationProactive project risks management in identifying critical risks and implementing robust mitigation plansPerform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standardsPerform other duties as assigned10% travelKnowledge, Skills, Abilities:Consistently upholds and reflects the core ethical principles and values that bioMérieux promotesDrive for Results: Drive for Results while successfully removing barriersBusiness acumen to understand how a business operates and how to make it successfulParticipate in a way that enhances team performance and cohesionEffective Presentation Skills - including the ability to present technical dataSolution oriented in the face of conflictProject Management Skills (Project Planning & Execution, Project Leadership, Project Budget Management, Project Risk Management, Stakeholder Management)Business Acumen (Business Plan, Project Value Delivery to the Org)Education and Experience Requirements:BS Degree: Engineering, Technology, Life Sciences, Business, Project Management5+ years of professional experience years' experience in program/project management within a PMO or similar environment, including leading cross-functional teams, managing multiple projects, driving governance, and working with senior stakeholders.Hands-on experience with project and resource management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Planisware, or equivalent) to support planning, tracking, and reporting.Skilled in presenting project updates and recommendations to senior leadership, using data-driven insights to support decision-makingProven experience in a regulated environment, ideally within IVD, medical device, or life sciences, with strong knowledge of design control, quality systems (ISO13485), and regulatory requirements (FDA, IVDR, CE).Proven track record managing new product development (NPD) and/or product lifecycle projects from concept through launch, with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and compliance.PMP Certification preferredExperience working with outsourced development vendors is a plusThe estimated salary range for this role is between $89,800 and $143,300. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux's bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living.
