Senior Electrical Control Systems Engineer (P.E.)
Overview
Senior Electrical Control Systems Engineer (P.E.) to lead EI&C projects for municipal and industrial facilities. You will guide design, power system studies, automation, and project execution from concept to commissioning, while serving as a technical leader and engineer of record. The role supports remote work with a focus on delivering sealed design deliverables and QA/QC reviews. You’ll mentor junior engineers and collaborate with project teams to drive high-impact infrastructure outcomes.

ResponsibilitiesLead electrical, instrumentation, and controls system design projectsPerform power system studies (short circuit, coordination, arc flash, load flow, motor starting)Develop and review P&IDs, control narratives, wiring diagrams, I/O listsDesign PLC, HMI, and SCADA network architecturesServe as Engineer of Record and provide sealed Arizona design deliverablesConduct QA/QC reviews and mentor junior engineersSupport construction, startup, commissioning, RFIs, and submittal reviews
Key requirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical EngineeringActive Professional Engineer (P.E.) license5+ years of electrical and/or controls engineering experienceStrong NEC knowledge and AutoCAD Electrical proficiencyExperience with PLC and HMI/SCADA systemsleadership and mentoringteam collaborationattention to QA/QCSKM, ETAP, or EasyPower (preferred)Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam (preferred)PLC/HMI programming experience
