Airframe Interior Specialist

The Airframe Interior Specialist, with minimal supervision, removes, repairs, modifies and reinstalls aircraft interiors using appropriate tooling, per customer expectations and Duncan Aviation approved procedures in a safe and clean work environment. In addition, this position completes appropriate documentation in a timely manner; assists less experienced team members with OJT as needed; and may perform as Qualified Inspector (QI).Essential Job Functions With minimal supervision, follows verbal and written technical procedures in the removal and reinstallation of carpeting, insulation, soundproofing and fabric accessories in aircraft using appropriate hand tools. Protects interior components and puts them safely in designated storage areas. With minimal supervision, performs minor repairs and modifications to interior components, including wiring terminations, using various fasteners and hand tools according to Duncan Aviation approved procedures. Prepares various documents for record keeping purposes as required by Company policy and FAA regulations (i.e. turnovers, removal sheets, W.O. Sheets, personal training log). Demonstrates an understanding of FAA 8110-3 and FAA 337 documentation. Assists with training team members to develop and enhance their job knowledge and performance. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.Job Specific RequirementsLicenses/Certificates: Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; QI designation; Man Lift qualified; tool inventory per department tool list requiredAttendance: Regularly scheduled attendance required; occasional overnight and short notice travel requiredPhysical: Routinely lifts up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.; repetitive motion; works with moving parts and vibration; tolerates working in confined spaces and heights above four feet; tolerates products and materials associated with component maintenance; tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sittingEnvironmental: Tolerates working in extreme temperatures and noisy environmentsEducation And ExperienceAirframe Interior Specialist I:High School graduate or equivalent requiredMinimum one aviation interior experience or two years related experience requiredAirframe Interior Specialist II:High School graduate or equivalent requiredTwo years aviation interior experience requiredAirframe Interior Specialist III:High School graduate or equivalent requiredMinimum four years aviation interiors experience preferredAvailable BenefitsMoving is expensive and hard work!
