Apprentice Electrician E4-E5
We are currently hiring Electrical Apprentices across the DFW metro. This position works under the guidance of a Foreman or Superintendent in installations, alterations, additions, and/or repair of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment on any type of project. Position Requirements:
Active TDLR Apprentice Card
Requires basic mechanical aptitude and manual skills.
Must be able to work overtime as required.
Must be able to pass a drug screen.
Must have reliable transportation and be able to commute within the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area.
Must have or the ability to get quickly upon hire required tools.
Current Driver’s License and must have own reliable transportation.
High School Graduate, GED or equivalent is preferred.
Summary of Skillsets:
E4 – Minimum Skills Required:
Positively identify colors of wires.
Perform a 90-degree conduit bend using hand benders.
Must use all power tools, saws, threaders, and knockout punches.
Operates two (2) handed tools/equipment, cable cutters, hammer drills, & compression tools
Capable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or power equipment.
Capable of performing a wire pull.
Read and interprets maps, instructional manuals, specifications, work site directions, and written instructions.
Perform Off-Set conduit bends with hand benders.
Correctly identify and explain markings on hand bender head.
Knows wire pulling procedures.
Knowledge of tools and materials.
Wall rough in
Fixture rough in
Identify correct Cap/Connector to corresponding wire gauge.
Work from mechanical personnel lifts.
Perform 3 Point Saddle, & Back-to-Back conduit bends with hand benders.
Terminate junction boxes
Install conduit Branch
Install conduit Feeder
Fixture connections
Underground rough in materials
Underground rough in methods
Operate equipment, trenchers, backhoe, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders, & lift trucks in a safe manner.
Comprehends reading and drawing prints and schematics of same.
Operate and mechanical personnel lifts (electric or gas powered).
Perform 4 Point Saddle, & Kick conduit bends with hand benders.
Basic blueprint knowledge

Size conduit and boxes
Underground layout and rough in
E5 - Possess skills of lower E Rating Job Title (E 4, E 3, E 2, E 1)
Layout work and preps materials for installations
Troubleshoots and resolves problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment
