Details NICU unit within a large pediatric hospital setting Cares for a BPD (bronchopulmonary dysplasia) NICU population with an average patient length of stay of 2–3 years Heavy parent involvement and frequent trach care are central to daily practice Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00) Floating required to PICU, CV PICU, stepdown, med/surg, and rarely the ED Floating to other campuses is also required, primarily including Riverside and St. Ann's locations Requirements Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand Current BLS and NRP certifications required Minimum 1 year of Level IV NICU experience required Minimum 2 years of combined Level III/IV NICU experience required Comfort with frequent trach care and high levels of family/parent engagement Two supervisor or manager-level references required for consideration (charge nurse references are not accepted) Additional Information Two-part interview process: an initial screening with the Float Pool Leader within 24–48 hours, followed by a potential second interview with the NICU unit manager RTO requests are reviewed as part of the interview process Local candidates are not eligible for this position Candidates who have worked permanently at this facility must have a gap of at least 2 years before being considered Attendance and punctuality are strictly enforced at this facility American Traveler Job ID P-689239.
