FIELD OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN - Multi-Basin Travel

Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionAs iNet continues to expand across the Permian Basin, we’re hiring Field Operations Technicians to support the deployment and maintenance of advanced connectivity solutions. This field-based role will require travel to other markets/basins outside of Midland based on business needs. The position offers paid training, a structured 90-day Short Service Employee (SSE) onboarding period, and a clear path to full Technician status with potential compensation growth. Relocation support or housing assistance is available for qualified candidates outside the local area.Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Deployment: Install, align, and commission RF and satellite systems including Starlink, LTE, VSAT, and point-to-point/multipoint wireless networks.Cable & Equipment Setup: Run, dress, and terminate various cable types (CAT5/6, RG6, LMR-600/400, Romex); mount antennas and configure field equipment.Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair connectivity issues across remote sites; ensure uptime and performance.Digital Documentation: Use mobile tools/apps to log service notes, capture site photos, and complete job records.Field Operations: Travel independently or in small teams to regional sites; uphold safety and compliance standards.Requirements3+ years in telecom, wireless, IT networking, or related technical fieldsHands-on experience with LTE, satellite systems, and point-to-point radiosFamiliarity with Ubiquiti, UniFi, Meraki, Starlink, OneWeb, and WeBoost technologiesStrong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand/power toolsAbility to work independently in remote environments with minimal supervisionClear communication skills and professional field presenceSCADA and PLC experience is a plusPre-Employment RequirementsValid driver’s license and clean driving recordDrug and alcohol screeningCriminal and employment background checkWillingness to work overtime, weekends, and participate in shift/on-call rotationsAbility to work outdoors in oil & gas environments and lift up to 50 lbs. unassistedReliable attendance and safe driving to/from job sites (company vehicle provided)What We OfferCompetitive hourly rate + overtimeCompany vehicle with Samsara safety featuresWEX fuel cardSafety and customer-specific training/certificationsEmployee housing for qualified out-of-town hiresRelocation and housing assistanceMedical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents$50,000 paid life insuranceAnnual bonus eligibilityPaid time off and holiday pay401(k) retirement planEmployee referral program with cash incentives
