Senior Safety Professional

Here at Spectrum, we are currently seeking two Senior Safety Professionals to become part of our team. The ideal candidates for this position should possess the following qualifications:Display technical leadership in Safety-related initiativesProvide consultation, planning, implementation, evaluation, and certification of environmental health and safety management servicesConduct safety and environmental health investigations, studies, and evaluations, which may involve developing survey protocol outlines and cost projection estimates; reviewing and assessing accident and injury statistics; identifying potential workplace safety and health hazards; and formulating safety plansPerform quality assurance activities pertaining to safety management and environmental health investigations, studies, and evaluationsOffer consultation, including the communication of findings, results, conclusions, and recommendations from investigations, studies, and evaluationsProvide training and education, including the creation of training manuals and other training materialsConduct health and safety management investigations, studies, and evaluationsOffer litigation support in relevant areas where the individual is an expert on the subject matterTake the lead in training and mentoring less-experienced employeesRequirementsHere are the requirements:Must have more than 3 years of progressive responsibility in providing technical leadershipAbility to identify and remedy hidden hazardsCapable of clearly communicating identified hazards and other safety issuesAble to prepare and deliver effective briefings, trainings, and presentationsSkilled at prioritizing various improvements while staying within budgetKeeps up to date with rules and regulations that affect an organizationEnsures that the organization passes inspectionsExpert at collecting and interpreting dataWilling to take responsibility for the safety of the entire organizationSenior skill set includes the ability to perform all stated/implied duties within this tier and those reasonably derived from preceding tiersBS degree in Safety, Environmental, Bio-Environmental, Chemical, Material or Industrial Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, Physics or a related field + 10 years of experienceMS degree + 7 years of experiencePHD + 4 years of experienceBenefitsHealth Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)Retirement Plan (401k)Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity)Short Term & Long Term DisabilityTraining & DevelopmentWellness ResourcesStock Option Plan
