Safety Manager
Position OverviewWe are seeking a proactive Safety Manager to lead and continuously improve our safety program across construction sites. The Safety Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations, managing risk assessments, and delivering training to reduce incidents and protect workers. This role partners with project teams, subcontractors, and leadership to foster a culture of safety and maintain a safe, compliant work environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures tailored to construction projects.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA standards, and keep the organization informed of regulatory changes.Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and verify corrective actions are implemented.Manage confined space, fall protection, and other high-risk work programs, ensuring proper permits, controls, and rescue plans are in place.Lead incident and near-miss investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventative measures; maintain incident documentation and reporting.Design, deliver, and track safety training programs (e.g., OSHA outreach, confined space entry, fall protection, toolbox talks) for employees and subcontractors.Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to integrate safety planning into project schedules, pre-task planning, and contractor management.Maintain safety records, permit documentation, audits, and safety performance metrics; prepare reports for leadership and regulatory agencies.Coordinate emergency response planning and drills, and serve as the primary contact for on-site safety emergencies.Promote continuous improvement by analyzing safety performance data, recommending process improvements, and driving a positive safety culture across teams.QualificationsBachelors degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.Minimum 5 years of hands-on safety experience in construction or heavy civil environments; proven background in safety program development and implementation.Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and regulatory requirements, with experience conducting inspections and compliance audits.Demonstrated expertise in risk management, confined space entry practices, fall protection systems, and permit-required programs.Experience designing and delivering safety training programs and leading toolbox talks; ability to coach and influence workers and supervisors.Certifications preferred: OSHA 30-hour, CSP, CHST, or equivalent safety credentials; HAZWOPER certification a plus.Proficient in incident investigation techniques, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and experience preparing regulatory reports and safety documentation.Valid drivers license and ability to travel between job sites; physically able to conduct site inspections and climb ladders or scaffolds as required.BenefitsCompetitive Base Salary: $90k - $120k DOEHealth/Dental/VisionLife InsuranceAD&DShort Term and Long Term Disability401(k)PTO/Sick LeaveHolidays Off Email Your Resume In Word ToKayton.Nimmo@CyberCoders.comLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
