Job Overview Utility Sales & Service is a rapidly growing truck equipment upfitter and service provider of custom-made trucks located in Appleton, WI. Our equipment is used to build and service our nation’s infrastructure. We are seeking a 1st Shift Truck Upfitter. Short and long-term disability Safety is our #1 focus (7 years of no lost time for employees) Easy on/off access to Hwy 41 and flexible hours Truck Upfitter will be fully trained to perform the following duties: To work as part of team building custom trucks. Follow product bill of materials, drawings, written instructions, pictures, and quality control documents to build trucks. Installation of major components including bodies, aerial & digger devices, winches, etc. Assembly and testing of truck mounted equipment and hydraulic systems. Fit and assemble prefabricated and purchased components to the truck. Utilize various hand and power tools, forklifts, and overhead cranes to perform job functions. Perform testing of trucks and truck mounted equipment as required. Qualifications for Truck Upfitter: Demonstrated mechanical assembly skills, specifically building large mobile equipment. 2+ years of experience assembling, testing and diagnosing hydraulic systems, preferably on mobile equipment. Ability to read and understand hydraulic schematics, electrical schematics, layout drawings, 3D models, and interpreting photos. The ability to work 50ft in the air on aerial equipment. Is self-motivated and able to work in a team environment. Must also be able to bend, twist and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs. Must supply a personal set of basic tools or have the ability to acquire. Company guidance on tools required will be provided. If a position is offered for the Truck Upfitter, a physical, drug test, and background check are required. Truck Upfitter Hours: First shift, Monday - Friday with overtime available.
