About the roleWe are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build and evolve the core platform services that power our products, AI systems, and edge-connected solutions. This role is for someone who is highly pragmatic, hands-on, and comfortable owning production systems end-to-end. You will help improve simplicity, reliability, observability, and engineering leverage across the platform.What you’ll doOwn the full software development lifecycle across design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operationsBuild and evolve core platform services with a focus on maintainability, reliability, and operational excellenceImprove system simplicity, observability, security, incident detection, and incident responseDesign and implement backend services, internal tools, and platform capabilities used across engineering teamsEvaluate and prioritize technical debt reduction, platform investments, and tooling improvements based on ROILeverage AI-assisted development tools to improve team productivity and iteration speedCollaborate across software, data, AI/ML, and edge teams to ensure platform services meet evolving needsParticipate directly in production support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of live systemsWhat we’re looking for5+ years of backend or platform engineering experiencePrior startup experience is requiredStrong ownership mentality across the full lifecycle of production systemsFluency in Python or Go; experience with other backend languages is a plusExperience with data modeling, data processing pipelines, and service-oriented architecturesStrong judgment and the ability to make pragmatic, well-reasoned technical tradeoffsExperience improving reliability, observability, and developer productivityTrack record of adopting and championing AI tools to improve engineering outcomesStrong communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsNice to haveExperience with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and infrastructure as codeExperience with distributed systems, messaging, or event-driven architecturesExperience supporting AI/ML or edge-connected product environmentsFamiliarity with security and production readiness practicesWho you areYou take ownership, not ticketsYou care about operational excellence as much as feature deliveryYou bias toward simplification and leverageYou are pragmatic, thoughtful, and calm under pressureYou enjoy helping teams move faster by building the right platform foundations
