ERSEA Administrator, Early Head Start - Simms

Read more about us at venicefamilyclinic.org Come join our Venice Family Clinic and make a difference in the communities we serve as an ERSEA Administrator for our Early Head Start Program. This position will be responsible for conducting outreach and recruitment activities to assure the program has a sufficient wait-list in order to maintain the mandated enrollment of 196 families at all times. The ERSEA Administrator will act as an ambassador for Children First and will often being the first contact a parent or community representative may have with the program. The ERSEA Administrator will represent the program, Venice Family Clinic and the principles of Head Start in all aspects of their job performance. Key Duties include: Assist in the annual development of the program Recruitment Plan, implementing outreach activities, and assuring services are offered to children with special needs, including those experiencing homeless and/or are in the foster system. Maintains relationships with referring agencies and relays information as appropriate relating to recruitment/enrollment status of referred applicants. Maintains supply of program materials (applications, brochures and enrollment packets/materials), and mails out applications/brochures to agency representatives and others throughout our service area to assure information on the program is easily accessible to those that may be interested in our CFEHS services. Distributes community resource referrals as needed to prospective CFEHS clients and those not eligible for CFEHS services; including referring those living outside of our CFEHS's service area to appropriate EHS programs in their area. Enters data and all referrals to the program in Child Plus data system (CPNET), reviews and monitors Child Plus ERSEA Reports, and provides accurate monthly reports. Meets with prospective clients, primarily in their homes, to complete CFEHS Application/Enrollment Forms. Attends trainings and meetings as necessary and uses the Head Start Performance Standards to guide service delivery. Developing and maintaining MOU's with community agencies providing needed services for CFEHS participants. Attending Community Fairs, Community Partner events, etc. to conduct outreach activities. Performing other duties as assigned. Salary offers are determined based on various factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, and equity. The full salary range for this position isPay range: $26.92 - $50.86 hourly.The budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is about $26.92 - $35.00 hourly. Qualifications Requirements: Minimum of (6) units of Early Childhood Education/Child Development. Experience in community mobilizing, outreach, and public speaking. Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and local community resources. Demonstrated computer skills with Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Publisher). Ability to relate will to and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents, staff, and other agencies Ability to communicate effectively, ability to gather and analyze information and make concise, accurate reports and recommendations. Ability to problem solve problems, handle crisis, and work with low-income families in a human service setting. Ability to work with families using an approach that is empathic, nonjudgmental, respectful, and professional. Willingness to travel to events and visit the homes of families residing in high-risk communities in order to reach those most needing CFEHS services. Willingness to approach individuals from various backgrounds and ethnicities, and in a multitude of environments to discuss program services and opportunities for enrollment. Ability to be flexible with your work hours/days to meet work needs, and must possess a current/valid CA driver's license and car insurance. Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred.
