Job DescriptionJoin a collaborative Radiology team where you’ll support a variety of imaging needs across the department. This PRN role offers flexibility, exposure to diverse cases, and the opportunity to build experience across both routine and procedural environments, including the OR.Posting DetailsLocation: American Fork Hospital - RadiologySchedule: PRN (as needed)Shift Expectations: Coverage across various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on department needs.Why Join UsFlexible PRN scheduling based on your availabilityVariety in your work, including general imaging and OR supportOpportunity to gain hands-on experience with advanced imaging equipmentCollaborative team environment with strong clinical supportOpen to new graduates looking to build skills in a dynamic settingWhat You’ll DoPerform diagnostic radiographic exams in accordance with department protocolsSupport imaging needs in the OR, including use of C-Arm equipmentEnsure proper patient identification, positioning, and safetyProduce high-quality images for interpretationMaintain compliance with radiation safety and infection control standardsAccurately document procedures and patient informationCollaborate with radiologists, providers, and care teams to support patient careSkills & ExperienceExperience with GE, Philips, and/or Carestream X-ray equipmentExperience working with C-Arms in the OR preferredStrong knowledge of anatomy and image qualityAbility to adapt to different workflows and environmentsEffective communication and patient care skillsAbility to work independently while supporting a teamMinimum QualificationsAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) certificationRadiologic technologist license in state of practiceBasic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providersPreferred Qualifications1-2 years radiology experienceIV CertificationPhysical RequirementsOngoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
