Big Data Developer

General Description:We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with a strong background in Data Engineering, Data Platforms, and Analytics to join our team. This role involves delivering technical projects, defining architecture, and managing client relationships, all while working with cutting-edge technologies in big data and cloud environments.Responsibilities:Experience with technical project delivery - managing scope and timelinesPlanning and architecture definition and implementationExperience working with clients and managing conflictsMust-Have Skills:8-10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platforms & Analytics.Strong programming experience in Python, and SQL.Expertise in Data Engineering technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, PySpark).Proficiency in Data Warehousing concepts (e.g., SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS).Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark™ and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.Familiarity with CI/CD practices for production deployments.Demonstrated capability in designing and deploying highly performant end-to-end data architectures.Cloud certification in one of the major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).Excellent documentation and white-boarding skills.Proficiency in English at a B2 level or higher.Nice-to-Have Skills:Additional programming experience in Scala.Hands-on experience with Databricks.Strong background in Big Data tools like Dataproc.Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.How to apply:To streamline our application process and ensure a fair assessment for all candidates, we request all applicants to apply through LinkedIn with the Apply button.About Worky:Worky is an on-demand talent cloud platform that seamlessly connects companies with remote and vetted professionals globally.
