About the job LATAM CONTROLLER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Prepares and coordinates monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to Group Accounting manual. • Manages and coordinates working capital (AR; AP; Inventory). • Monthly inventory accuracy. • Develops and monitors business plan and budgets. • Review and Analysis Acquisitions • Aid in the integration of Acquisitions • Manages the account department to ensure proper compliance of all accounting systems and functions. • Mentors and develops a direct team, managing work allocation, training, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic. • Reviews all month-end closing activities including general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations and corporate cost allocation. • Cash management. • Manages the companys insurance program. • Assists with annual external audit by preparing assigned schedules and requests. • Participates at the EHS&S committee. • Coordinates and resolves various issues with bank and ensure compliance with the Group Treasury policies • Conforms with and abide by all regulatory guidance and internal policies and procedures. • Lead or participate in strategic projects This role involves travel once a month. This is a hybrid position Experience with Acquisitions & integration. Foreign Exchange SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:• Manages and motivates staff (including: hiring, firing, performance management and recognition duties.) • Performance Appraisal • Works together with the team scorecard/objectives for the accounting department. • Train, direct and appraise staff. • Plans and organizes workload and staff assignments. Issues written and oral instructions; assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. COMPETENCIES - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the required/preferred qualifications: • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Knowledge of Statutory accounting principles. • All bi-lingual in English and Spanish. • Strong analytical and accounting skills. • Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and FRx or similar programs. • Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment. • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of major accounting software packages for both general ledger and statutory accounting. Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred. • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty. • The individual will be expected to work with minimal up-front guidance and take ownership of his / her work product. The individual will work closely with all major functional leaders of the Company. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING: • Masters degree (M.A.) and/or CPA or equivalent; and four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
