Facility Maintenance Supervisor

US MERCHANTS (www.u-s-merchants.com) is looking for an experienced Facility Maintenance supervisor / lead to maintain the building and property operations and ensure that the facility is always safe and functional. A successful facility maintenance supervisor / lead is analytical, well-organized and excels in communication. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is very important. They must be comfortable with leading a team of facility maintenance and housekeeping staff, scheduling routine tasks, maintain activity logs, set priorities etc. The goal is to ensure that the facility and property operations are running smoothly and effectively, and the property is always in excellent and impeccable condition. Responsibilities - Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues. - Conduct maintenance tasks and making repairs as needed. - Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (example ventilation). - Check functionality of safety systems (example fire alarms). - Schedule routine inspections and emergency repairs without outside vendors as needed. - Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for senior management and other relevant staff. - Supervise and lead subordinates (facility maintenance and housekeeping workers). - Collaborate with other managers to optimize processes. - Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies. Requirements - Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems. - Electrical wiring capabilities to manage issues with the building’s electricity. - General carpentry ability to handle basic repairs. - Groundskeeping knowledge to maintain facilities outdoor area. - Basic welding skills is a plus. - Forklift operating license preferred. - Good understanding of reporting. - Experience in directing and evaluating subordinates. - Excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities. - High school diploma is a definite plus.
