Raft Guide (Training Provided)
We are currently looking for non experienced and experienced raft guides to fill summer positions on the Cache La Poudre River. For those that need training a course will take place from May 19th through the 2nd week of June. The Cache La Poudre River is the only national "Wild and Scenic" River in Colorado and is limited to only five commercial outfitters. Because there are only five outfitters the river is less crowded than other rivers in Colorado and the scenery is amazing. A Wanderlust Adventure has been rafting on the Cache la Poudre River for the past 45 years! We pride ourselves on our staff that return season after season and want only professional candidates applying for a position with our company. We offer half day, beginning to advanced trips on the Poudre River and this is the only river that we raft on. We have a class III beginner/intermediate level half day trip and a class III/IV level intermediate/advanced half day trip. Our season starts in the middle of May and runs through Labor Day.
The town of Fort Collins offers a great lifestyle to our staff and really is a neat place to live for the summer or year round. We have an excellent university at Colorado State and the culture that goes along with it. The area has many hiking and mountain bike trails and Rocky Mountain National Park is only an hour away. The Poudre River offers world class kayaking up to Class V+ for seasoned veteran boaters.
Current certification in CPR and First Aid is required. Wilderness First Responder or EMT Certification preferred but not required. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, be professional and mature, a team player, hard working, reliable, respectful and highly concerned about safety.
