As we continue to grow, we are adding a Senior Pre-Construction Manager to bring advanced estimating and pre-construction strategy knowledge and partner closely with Operations and Leadership.About the PositionThe Senior Pre-Construction Manager plays a critical individual-contributor role at Alt Construction, leading complex pre-construction efforts and serving as a trusted partner to Operations and Leadership. This position is responsible for developing accurate, thoughtful estimates and pre-construction strategies that set projects up for success. The Senior Pre-Construction Manager brings a high level of judgment, accountability, and ownership to each pursuit, helping ensure that projects align with Alt's standards, capabilities, and long-term goals.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the full pre-construction lifecycle, including conceptual budgeting, detailed estimating, value engineering, and bid strategyReview and approve estimates, assumptions, scopes, and risk considerations prior to submissionPartner closely with Operations and Project Management to ensure smooth handoffs from pre-construction to executionMaintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and engineersContinuously refine estimating processes, tools, and standards to improve accuracy and efficiencySupport client conversations during pre-construction to build trust and confidenceAnalyze historical cost data and project performance to improve future estimatesUphold Alt Construction's values in every interaction internally and externallyQualifications5+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating or pre-construction, preferably with a general contractorStrong understanding of construction means and methods across commercial project typesExperience collaborating closely with operations, project management, and ownershipHigh level of integrity, accountability, and professionalismStrong communication skills and the ability to build trust with clients and partnersProficiency with estimating software and construction technology platforms such as BuilderTrend, Procore, Bluebeam, and Timberline.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferredWhy Join Alt ConstructionAlt is not a volume-at-all-costs builder.
