This is a hands-on infrastructure and systems engineering role — deploying, operating, and sustaining enterprise server, network, and virtualization platforms in secured DoD/military environments. Cybersecurity tool support is a component of the role, not its primary focus. The ideal candidate has deep roots in Linux systems administration and network infrastructure, with exposure to DoD compliance environments. Applicants with exclusively cybersecurity experience and no hands-on server/network infrastructure administration will not be considered.Responsibilities:As a 24/7/365 organization, shift work, night shifts, holidays, and on-call responsibilities may be required, and travel to customer sites globally is required.Install, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise servers, operating systems, and networking equipment (switches, firewalls, hardware components, VLANs, RHEL kickstart, Ansible Playbooks).Administer and troubleshoot Linux operating systems (RHEL and RHEL-based).Deploy and troubleshoot custom bash, python, and Ansible scripting.Configure, manage, and troubleshoot virtualization platforms (VMware and OpenShift) and enterprise virtual storage systems.Represent Axellio product delivery (Xpress platform and solutions); own the delivery of and manage customer experience with Axellio developed appliances and software.Document system and network configurations, changes, and operational processes.Architect and integrate network packet and RF signal data flows into tools and applications.Assist sales teams with technical demonstrations and answer technical questions.Handle escalations from customers: DOD and Commercial.Support cybersecurity monitoring systems including SIEM tools, log analysis, and other cyber applications.Assist with RMF-related activities, including POA&Ms, compliance documentation, and security scans (Nessus & STIGs).Requirements:A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of hands-on experience in information systems, networking, computer science OR 10+ years of hands-on experience in information systems, networking, computer science.U.S. Citizen with a Secret or higher security clearance required.Experience with networking, server/storage infrastructure, virtualization (VMware and OpenShift), and Linux OS.Working knowledge of SIEM tools, log analysis, and cybersecurity monitoring.An understanding of RMF and DoD compliance frameworks (NIST 800-171 and STIGs).What you get:Base compensation in the $115,000 to $150,000 commensurate with experience.Medical, dental, vision insurance with company paid STD and LTD + life insurance.401k + company match & flexible paid time off.Equity stock options so that you can share in business success.The chance to develop next generation products and work with others who are passionate about technology.A team driven by collaboration and getting results in a fast paced and transparent start-up environment where trying new things, “failing fast,” and learning are valued.
