You clean and sanitize all china, glassware, and food storage receptacles. You restock plates and equipment in their respective "homes" to facilitate a fluid kitchen environment.Duties & Responsibilities:Be on time and ready to workMaintain and clean all china, glass, and silverwarePlace all cookware, china, glass, and silverware in proper storage spacesOrganization and cleanliness of the space and dish machine over the entire shift. This includes chemical levels, de-scale, and general cleaningRemove all linen and garbage, replace the bags, and clean trash cans inside and outTake out all compost bins, Soilutions , and beverage spill buckets at the end of every shiftSweep and mop as needed during shift to maintain a safe, non-slip floor and during the close down of the stationsBuff all China so it is ready for serviceClean all windows inside and out in the kitchen spacesAll sinks are washed out and dried as neededClean hoods, ovens, and stovesReport any problems with equipment to the direct supervisorMaintain cleanliness and organization of mop/broom closetsMake time to help in other areas of the kitchen, i.e., dish pick-ups and restocksBreak down boxes for recycling and take any recycling outWork clean and maintain your spaceEssential Job Functions:Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by handMaintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly conditionPlace clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areasSort and remove the trash, placing it in designated pickup areasSweep or scrub floorsRequirementsThe ideal candidate must possess experience in a kitchen environment and a farm-to-fork backgroundOrganized with an attention to detail, being self-motivated, and able to work in a team environmentExhibit strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate the desire to be consistentAble to work in a high-stress environmentMust be able to sit, stand, bend, squat, reach, and walk 8 to 10 hours a dayAble to grasp, lift, carry.
