Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant

We are looking for a responsible Bookkeeper for our small, family-owned business to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Bookkeeping responsibilities include data entry (largely Quickbooks and Field Groove), maintaining appropriate filing systems, digitizing bills, preparing for worker's compensation audits, creating and tracking invoices, and bill payment. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Excel and office equipment. We are also moving into our new office and looking for a member of our team to help organize our new space. Responsibilities Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports Develop and maintain a filing system Maintain contact lists Submit and reconcile expense reports Provide general support to visitors Skills Proven experience as a Bookkeeper Knowledge of office management systems and procedures Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular) Proficiency in Quickbooks Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task Job Type: Part-time Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Benefits: Flexible schedule Education: High school or equivalent (Required) Experience: QuickBooks: 1 year (Required) Bookkeeping: 1 year (Required) Work Location: In person
