To learn more about the WSBTA, visit our website at: http://bta.wa.gov About the Opportunity As an Office Assistant 2, you will play a vital role in managing the high-volume workflow of the Board of Tax Appeals, which handles up to 2,000 new filings annually. Your primary responsibility will be the intake and examination of appeals to ensure they comply with specific statutes, rules, and jurisdictional requirements. Working within a fast-paced environment, you will monitor and track cases through our e-file system, perform precise data entry in our case management software, and provide essential administrative support to ensure all legal deadlines and procedural guidelines are strictly met.Some of What You'll Enjoy Doing Includes: Monitors, coordinates, and tracks appeals received through the office and e-file system. Examines new appeals to determine jurisdiction. Performs data entry while navigating our case management system. Facilitates administrative tasks.  Support the work of Hearing Officers. Required Qualifications High School diploma or GED equivalent. One (1) year of experience as an Office Assistant 1 OR one (1) year of experience in a legal environment in support of an attorney, administrative law judge(s), industrial insurance appeals judge(s), review judge(s), or equivalent. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Professionalism and punctuality. Demonstrated reliability and the desire to learn new skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Self-awareness and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of state tax appeals system and the Administrative Procedures Act.  Knowledge of legal documents, terminology, and court filing procedures.  Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements or applying lean principles.    Ability to type 65 WPM.  How to Apply Interested?
