Computer Scientist / Software Developer, Junior - Security Clearance Required

Overview In this role you contribute to building analytical ML tools and IoT-enabled solutions, collaborating with researchers to translate findings into practical software. You’ll work on maintaining and developing applications, participate in design discussions, and contribute to cross-disciplinary experiments. The work supports advanced machine learning networks and sensor-based systems in a defense-adjacent context. This is a hands-on, growth-focused position with opportunities to work on impactful, real-world problems. ResponsibilitiesAssist in maintaining existing applications and development of new applicationsPerform hands-on coding / developmentParticipate in design and architecture discussionsImplementation of IoT network connectivity, as well as web and mobile applicationsParticipate in occasional international travel for collaboration and experimentationProvide quality customer service Key requirementsA minimum of 1 year of professional software development experienceBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalentBasic understanding of ML theory and familiarity with ML libraries (e.g., torch, pytorch, numpy, scikit, scipy, Tensorflow, Keras)Programming skills in Python & Java for networked applicationsExperience with Linux, shell-scripting, gitExperience with GPU acceleration using CUDABackground working with cameras and sensorsU.S. Citizenship and active Government security clearance (DoD 8140 IAT I Level)Excellent written and verbal communicationExcellent problem solving skillsAbility to work in a collaborative, multi-developer environmentMachine Learning concepts and libraries (Torch, PyTorch, NumPy, scikit-learn, SciPy, TensorFlow, Keras)Python and Java programmingLinux, shell scripting, Git
