Remote work outside of Washington will not be permitted.Job Title: Student TA - DES-205-B Game History (Savage), F26Reports to: Joshua SavageClass Times - Attendance is REQUIRED:Tuesday - 12:00-1:20 p.m.Friday - 12:30-2:20 p.m.Essential FunctionsA Teaching Assistant (TA) is expected to assist the instructor in the classroom as requested by the instructor. Responsibilities may include equipment setup and/or operation (e.g., running slide decks during lectures), facilitating student presentations, answering student questions during labs, pre-grading assessments, submitting attendance sheets, etc. TAs are expected to assist with grading outside the classroom, meet regularly with the instructor, and may be required to meet with students outside class to answer questions as needed. Other duties as assigned by the instructor.TAs will meet weekly with the instructor for performance feedback and duty modification and will receive a full evaluation once per semester.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssisting with room setup at the start and end of classConsulting with the instructor on course content, assignments, and progression, providing feedback where necessary and appropriateLiaising with IT in cases where tech support is neededGetting supplies from IT or the front desk in the event that unexpected needs arise during lecture or labAssisting students in labs and during published office hoursMeeting students online, if requiredAccountable for tracking and reporting the amount of time workedProviding constructive feedback to students regarding student workAssisting students who have questions about lecture or lab materialQualifications/CompetenciesHave proven proficiency with the course materialPossess a positive attitude toward learning and a willingness to help others excelBe comfortable interacting with other students on an instructional level as a mentorArrive on time and be prepared to attend with complete focus during work hoursAble to give critique in a professional mannerStrong communicatorReliable, punctual, and invested in the success of their fellow studentsBe able to work independentlyHave access to a laptop during course timeFull availability to attend lectures and labs is required for this positionExpected dates of employment: August 31 - December 4, 2026Expected number of hours per week: 5 - 10* Once again, students are not permitted to work during any time when they are scheduled for a class. *Wage Range:$17.13 - 18.25 per hour, depending on number of terms worked at DigiPenRequirements to Apply:ResumeCover LetterCurrent Semester Academic ScheduleWorking Conditions:The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching; and fine finger dexterity.
