Reporting to the Administrator, this role supports census growth through ethical, compliant marketing practices while strengthening awareness of hospice services throughout the service area.As a key member of the business development team, you will connect providers, facilities, patients, and families with compassionate end-of-life care; serving as both a relationship-builder and a strategic partner in the organization’s growth.About YouYou are a relationship-driven healthcare professional who understands that trust, credibility, and integrity are the foundation of sustainable growth. You are organized, self-motivated, and energized by being out in the community making meaningful connections.How You Will Make a DifferenceEach day, you will make a direct impact by strengthening referral relationships and helping more patients and families access hospice care when they need it most.In This Role, You WillExecute marketing and outreach strategies that support census growth and volume projectionsIdentify, develop, and maintain strong referral relationships across hospitals, physician offices, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other healthcare partnersServe as a primary point of contact for assigned referral sources, responding promptly and professionallyRepresent the organization at community events, networking opportunities, and professional meetingsPromote hospice services as a high-quality, compassionate option for end-of-life careMonitor referral trends, market activity, and competitive dynamics, sharing insights with leadershipConduct all business development activities in full compliance with federal and state hospice marketing regulationsEnsure all marketing materials and communications are accurate, ethical, and compliantMaintain awareness of community resources and assist referral partners in navigating care options when hospice is not appropriateRequirementsTo succeed in this role, you will bring healthcare marketing experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to ethical practice.Qualifications & ExperienceExperience developing referral relationships in a regulated healthcare environmentWorking knowledge of hospice services, payer structures, and referral processesStrong communication, negotiation, and public relations skillsAbility to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt to changing market conditionsProfessional presence with the ability to build credibility and trust in the community
