AS400 Developer-LANSA

We are looking for an experienced developer who knows how to work with AS400 (also called IBM iSeries) and LANSA. This person will help design, build, and maintain software applications on the AS400 system. You'll work with different teams to make sure the applications meet business needs and run smoothly.Responsibilities:Create and improve applications using AS400 and LANSA.Keep LANSA-based applications up-to-date and fix any issues.Work with other teams to understand what the business needs from the software.Troubleshoot and solve problems with AS400 applications.Improve older systems to help the business run better.Write clear technical documents for the solutions you develop.Work with your teammates to ensure the project runs smoothly and follows best practices.Qualifications:Experience working with AS400 and LANSA development.Skilled in programming languages like RPGLE, CL, and COBOL used on AS400.Knowledge of LANSA tools (LANSA for i and Visual LANSA).Understanding of databases (DB2/400).Ability to find ways to improve existing applications.Familiarity with the software development process (SDLC).Good problem-solving skills and ability to fix issues quickly.Good communication and teamwork skills.Preferred Skills:Experience working with web services on the AS400 platform.Knowledge of modernizing older systems.Familiarity with other programming languages like Java, C#, or SQL is a bonus.About Brickred Systems:Brickred Systems is a global leader in next-generation technology, consulting, and business process service companies.
