Web Developer – Loveable (Contractor)Timeline: IMMEDIATE Type: Contract (individual contributor) Location: RemoteCompensation: Monthly retainer, based on experienceA fast-moving marketing and communications company is hiring a Web Developer (Contractor) to update, maintain, and modernize a portfolio of owned websites. Candidates must have extensive hands-on Loveable experience and comfort across modern web stacks.This is a hands-on execution role. You will be in the code daily, shipping fixes, page updates, template changes, and site-wide improvements across multiple properties. This is not a strategy role — this person executes.The ideal candidate is highly responsive, self-directed, and willing to support business-critical needs outside traditional work hours when necessary, including evenings and weekends.Key ResponsibilitiesSite Maintenance & UpdatesUpdate content, layouts, and templates across all owned websitesFix bugs, broken links, rendering issues, and legacy code debtImplement design updates and new pages on requestMaintain version control, backups, and staging/production workflowsLoveable & Multi-Stack ExecutionWork within Loveable environments and workflows to support rapid deployment and iterationWork across additional stacks as needed (PHP/WordPress, static HTML, modern JS frameworks)Migrate or refactor legacy pages where appropriateIntegrate with databases (SQL Server, MySQL) and third-party APIsPerformance & ReliabilityOptimize page speed, Core Web Vitals, and uptimeImplement and maintain redirects, canonical tags, and indexation rulesCoordinate with hosting providers on server-level issuesImplement security patches and dependency updatesCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with the SEO/GEO Manager to ship technical SEO requirements (schema, structured data, sitemaps, robots, page speed)Partner with content and design teams to launch new pages and campaignsSupport marketing launches with fast turnaround timesBe available, when needed, for urgent fixes or deployments outside standard business hours, including weekendsRequired Qualifications3–5+ years of hands-on web development experienceExtensive experience working with LoveableStrong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skillsComfortable in WordPress and at least one additional CMSSQL experience (SQL Server and/or MySQL)Git / version control fluencyAbility to ship independently with minimal oversightWillingness to work flexible hours as business needs require, including evenings and weekendsPreferred QualificationsDevOps / hosting / CDN experience (Cloudflare, AWS, IIS, Apache)Familiarity with technical SEO requirementsExperience with marketing-driven websites (landing pages, lead capture, tracking pixels)What Success Looks LikeAll owned sites stay current, fast, and bug-freeContent and marketing requests ship within agreed turnaround timesTechnical SEO requirements are implemented cleanly and accuratelyLegacy technical debt is steadily reducedCritical updates and launches are supported reliably, including during off-hours when necessary
