Electrical AssemblerPGS Worldwide is seeking an Electrical Assembler in Austin, TX for a 6 month contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role involves assembling and inspecting electromechanical equipment with a focus on conformal coating, masking, and precision workmanship. You will work in a clean room environment performing detailed assembly tasks that require accuracy and consistency.Required SkillsRequires two (2) years of High School or Trade School educationExperience with conformal coating inspectionExperience with conformal coat masking and coatingAbility to work meticulously with masking tapeAbility to use a fine brush to coat small features with a steady handAbility to work under slight magnification for the majority of the shiftAbility to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, process plans, and drawingsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to follow work instructions and perform self-inspection of completed workAbility to work independently and as part of a teamBasic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office toolsAbility to become solder certifiedPreferred SkillsExperience assembling electromechanical equipmentExperience using fixturing to build assembliesExperience inspecting parts and materials for defects prior to useExperience with soldering or epoxy applicationFamiliarity with solder reflow ovens, pick-and-place machines, and automated measurement systemsIPC-A-610 and J-STD certificationsEffective written and verbal communication skillsWhat You'll DoAssemble electromechanical components and subassemblies following work instructionsPerform conformal coating, masking, and inspection of electronic assembliesApply coatings using fine brush techniques with precisionWork under magnification to ensure accuracy and quality standards are metInspect completed work to ensure conformance to specificationsRead and interpret technical drawings and schematicsUtilize tools, equipment, and fixturing to build assemblies accuratelySupport disassembly, modification, and reassembly of production units as neededMaintain documentation and follow production processes in a clean room environmentWork Schedule / Shift4/10 schedule, 2nd shift
