Accounting Controller

Position Overview:
The Financial Controller is responsible for leading our company’s accounting team. The individual placed in this position will have a clear understanding of accounting practices and is comfortable with directing teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Serving as a financial advisor to the CEO, CFO, and executive team for strategic planning purposes
Create and Control the budgeting process
Provide regular monthly reporting including gross margin analysis, net margin analysis, budget to actuals
Responsible for the completion of month end close process
Overseeing all sides of accounting operations, including payables, receivables, payroll and tax preparation
Developing appropriate tracking methods for revenue and expenses
Creating and managing consolidated financial statements across companies
Creating strategy and implementation plans for acquisitions
Assisting in due diligence on target acquisitions
Prepare timely and accurate analyses, summaries and reports of financial data on the operating progress of the company
Create a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting structure that includes a minimum cash threshold to meet operational needs
Routinely review revenue cycle metrics to identify and address issues affecting overall performance proactively
Manage the company’s compliance with local and federal regulatory matters
Partner with senior leaders to ensure the company hits revenue targets
Manage finance team (AR/AP, Warehouse, Purchasing)
Managing all accounting activities relating to general ledger (G/L), accounts receivable (A/R), and accounts payable (A/P). Ensure accounting transactions are recorded and posted in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Work with external accountant or auditor as directed
Managing the company assets such as vehicles, information systems, and communication systems. Review and assist with Capital Expenditures.

Requirements
Must have 5 years of experience in management and cost accounting
Bachelor’s degree required
Mergers and Acquisition experience or Private Equity
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license/certification preferred but not required
Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and their application in a large, diverse organization
Proficient knowledge of QuickBooks
Capable of maintaining confidential written and verbal information.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations.
Must pass a drug test and background check
Present and communicate professionally (written and verbal)
Must be a critical thinker with Strong English composition skills
Ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize projects
Positive self-starter who can take the initiative and drive their own learning
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
