For more information, please visit fluenceenergy.com.Job DescriptionRole OverviewThe Senior Finance Manager will serve as a strategic business partner to Product, Manufacturing, and Strategy leadership, driving financial planning, operational efficiency, and investment decisions, and end-to-end financial performance management.The ideal candidate brings strong FP&A discipline, deep understanding of manufacturing operations, and advanced financial modeling capabilities to support capital allocation and strategic decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Partnering & Strategic SupportPartner with Product, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Strategy teams to support key business decisionsProvide financial insights on product roadmap, cost optimization, and margin improvementSupport pricing strategies, investment cases, and capital allocation decisionsFinancial Planning, Modeling & AnalysisLead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for product and manufacturing functionsBuild and maintain robust financial models to support business planning and decision-makingDevelop scenario-based models for various capital investments, including sensitivity and risk analysisAnalyze variances vs. plan and provide clear, actionable insightsCapital Investment & ROI AnalysisPartner with the Strategy team to evaluate capital investment opportunitiesBuild ROI, NPV, and IRR analyses to support investment decisionsPrepare clear, data-driven recommendations and present findings to Executive Leadership Team (ELT) membersEnsure alignment between strategic priorities and capital deploymentReporting & ControlsDeliver timely and accurate financial reporting packagesStrengthen financial processes, controls, and data integrityDrive automation and continuous improvement in reporting and analyticsLeadership & Team DevelopmentManage and develop a team of finance professionals (if applicable)Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvementAct as a cross-functional leader within Finance and OperationsRequired Qualifications And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA/CPA preferred)8–12+ years of progressive finance experience (manufacturing or product finance is a plus)Strong financial modeling skills with experience in scenario planning and capital investment analysisDeep understanding of cost accounting, standard costing, and inventory managementExperience with ERP systems (SAP)Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders and influence decisions, including executive-level presentationsAdvanced Excel and financial modeling expertiseAdditional SkillsStrategic thinking with strong business acumenAdvanced analytical and modeling capabilitiesAbility to translate complex financial data into executive-level insightsStrong communication skills with executive presenceHigh level of accountability and ownershipContinuous improvement mindsetSuccess MetricsAccuracy and timeliness of forecasts and financial modelsQuality and impact of capital investment recommendationsAchievement of product margin and cost targetsImprovement in manufacturing efficiency and cost visibilityEffectiveness of executive-level communication and decision supportOur CultureAt Fluence, our culture is the foundation that drives our ambitious growth strategy and fuels our mission to transform the future of energy.
