Benefit Administration Implementation ManagerThis role is responsible for leading end-to-end implementation projects for benefit administration solutions, ensuring successful delivery from initial kickoff through client go-live and transition to ongoing service teams. The position sits at the intersection of project management, client engagement, and technical coordination, requiring strong oversight of timelines, scope, and quality standards. You will work closely with internal configuration, development, and integration teams as well as external clients and vendors to ensure seamless execution of complex implementation plans. The role plays a key part in client satisfaction and retention by building strong relationships, managing expectations, and ensuring delivery excellence. It requires a structured yet flexible approach to managing multiple stakeholders and time-sensitive deliverables in a fast-paced environment. This is a highly collaborative role with significant visibility across operations and leadership teams.
Accountabilities:Lead and manage end-to-end benefit administration implementation projects from kickoff through client sign-off and transition to ongoing support teams
Develop, maintain, and execute detailed project plans, timelines, and milestone tracking to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
Coordinate cross-functional teams including system configuration specialists, EDI developers, and shared services to ensure complete solution delivery
Facilitate client meetings, workshops, status updates, and implementation governance sessions throughout the project lifecycle
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while escalating critical issues to operations leadership when necessary
Ensure adherence to implementation SLAs, best practices, and defined scope of services for each client engagement
Oversee client acceptance testing (CAT), issue resolution, and readiness validation prior to go-live
Maintain consistent communication with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on progress, expectations, and deliverables
Support sales teams during pre-implementation phases by participating in prospect and solution discussions
Ensure smooth transition of clients to ongoing service delivery teams following implementation completion
Requirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
57 years of experience in project management and benefit administration or related operational environments
Strong experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder implementation projects in fast-paced settings
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical and business concepts to diverse audiences
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate issues and develop proactive solutions
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with strong organization and prioritization skills
Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and external client/vendor relationships
Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and accountability for delivery outcomes
Ability to lead meetings, facilitate discussions, and influence stakeholders at various organizational levels
Experience in benefits administration systems or HR/insurance-related platforms is highly preferred
