Instrumentation Engineer - Greenfield Pharma Facility BuildWe’re supporting a leading pharmaceutical organisation in Cincinnati on a major greenfield manufacturing facility build, and are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation Engineer to take ownership of critical instrumentation systems across the full project lifecycle.This is a hands-on, high-impact engineering position where you’ll directly influence the design, installation, validation, and operational readiness of instrumentation systems in a new, state-of-the-art GMP manufacturing environment.You’ll be embedded within a multidisciplinary capital projects team, working at the intersection of engineering, automation, quality, and regulatory compliance to ensure the facility is delivered to the highest industry standards.What You’ll Be DrivingEnd-to-end design and specification of instrumentation systems for pharmaceutical manufacturing processesOwnership of installation oversight, calibration strategy, and system integration across complex process environmentsClose collaboration with automation, engineering, CQV, and external vendor teams to deliver key project milestonesLeadership of commissioning, qualification, and validation activities in line with FDA, GMP, and global regulatory requirementsDevelopment of robust validation protocols, test scripts, and compliance documentation packagesHands-on troubleshooting of instrumentation and control system performance issues during build and ramp-up phasesInput into system optimisation, ensuring reliability, accuracy, and long-term operational performanceExperienceProven experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated manufacturing environmentsStrong background in instrumentation system design, installation, calibration, and validationDeep understanding of process control systems, sensors, and measurement technologiesStrong experience working to GMP, FDA, and validation lifecycle requirements (IQ/OQ/PQ)Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplineComfortable operating in capital project environments with multiple stakeholders and contractorsIf you're an experienced Instrumentation Engineer looking to step into a high-profile capital project with real engineering ownership, we’d love to speak with you.
