Diesel Service Technician

Position Purpose: The position is responsible for maintenance and repairs of diesel-powered equipment. Job Requirements: Minimum of 5 years experience as a diesel technician CDL Certification Required Knowledge of Electrical and A/C Systems Refrigeration Experience Preferred Essential Responsibilities: · Perform required inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment within planned time tolerance to maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency · Perform FAI/CVI inspections on fleet equipment · Perform quality maintenance repairs as required · Address all Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write-ups timely and efficiently · Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications · Follow procedures including document all work performed on work orders · Report safety issues immediately to management · Other duties as assigned Qualifications/Skills: · Basic knowledge of heavy-duty class 8 engines and transmissions · Ability to transfer knowledge · Task oriented · Display a positive attitude · Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed · Knowledge of DOT regulations preferred · Ability to take direction from managers · Excellent attention to detail Job Type: Full-time or Part-time Pay: Based on education, experience, and credentials Benefits: · Comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Rx · PTO benefits · 401k with company match · Company paid Chiropractic · Short Term Disability · Life Insurance Job Location: Center, TX Supervisory Responsibilities: None Physical Requirements: · Regularly required to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time · Full range of body movements including use of hands to handle and feel objects · Ability to bend the body to reach for objects and crouch when needed · Must have command of all four senses · Ability to lift 50 pounds with regularity Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $37.50 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
