Packaging Shift Supervisor

Overview Packaging Supervisor at InvaGen Pharmaceuticals, a Cipla subsidiary, located in Fall River, MA. Relocation benefits are available. Shifts available: 1st (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM), 2nd (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM), and 3rd (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM). Responsibilities Manage shifts and control packaging activities on the shop floor. Supervise packaging operators and oversee production in the absence of the Packaging Manager. Ensure compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and FDA requirements. Perform tasks across areas such as pre-check and office duties as needed. Work with Systech serialization system and SAP. Reduce time spent preparing lines for the next products and during changeovers. Train and educate employees when necessary. Record in-process entries into respective documents and verify machine cleanliness. Perform daily routine checks and enforce safety measures. Maintain knowledge of all SOPs and proper equipment use; act as a point of contact for procedures and expectations. Provide leadership and coaching; contribute to SOP writing in the technical area. Operate necessary equipment and instrumentation; maintain documentation per internal procedures and regulatory requirements (GMP, SOPs, etc.). Follow internal protocols, SOPs, and cGMP; monitor the environment and ensure regulatory compliance. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Packaging, or related field from an accredited institution_required. Minimum of two years of experience in pharmaceutical or fully automated packaging lines. At least two years directly managing/supervising/leading a team. 2 years of cGMP work experience. Technical Knowledge and Systems Strong understanding of pharmaceutical or fully automated packaging machines. Ability to troubleshoot packaging machines and participate in regulatory audits at local and federal levels. Experience using SAP is a plus. Professional and Behavioral Competencies Proficient in English (spoken as a first or second language). Ability to analyze complex data sets; knowledge of statistical packages is a plus. Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and good documentation practices preferred. Strong reading, writing, and communication skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple tasks. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Basic computer skills (Word and Excel) – Intermediate; good math skills and attention to detail. Work Schedule and Other Position Information Must be willing to work in a pharmaceutical packaging setting. Must be willing and able to work any assigned shift (1st or 2nd); schedule may be Monday to Friday, with potential weekend work as required by business needs.
