Internal Medicine Physician Director / California (CA) / Permanent

Medix has partnered with a client located in California to staff an Internal Medicine Physician Director overseeing two markets. The Regional Medical Director serves as the clinical leader for the Fresno and Madera County markets. This is a hybrid leadership role requiring a mix of administrative oversight and direct patient care via home visits.Key Responsibilities: - Directly manage all employee physicians and clinical divisions (NPs, PAs, Case Management) within the region.- Act as the primary clinical stakeholder for IPA management and relationships (Allcare, Sante Physicians, etc.).- Accountable for all clinical outcomes, medical management performance, and risk drivers.- Conduct SNF rounds and oversight for at least one facility.- Perform field-based/in-home patient visits 2 days per week (3 days remote).- Oversee recruiting, training, and performance management of clinical staff.
