Elective or CTE Teacher, Part-Time
POSITION PURPOSEThe Half-Time Online Elective or CTE Teacher supports students at Snake River Opportunities School (SROS) through high-quality instruction, meaningful feedback, and strong relationship-building in a virtual learning environment. This position focuses on elective or career and technical education courses and includes collaboration with staff to support student success in an online school model.QualificationsValid Idaho teaching license with appropriate endorsement, or eligibility to obtain appropriate Idaho licensure.Experience in online, alternative, or virtual education preferred.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to build positive relationships with students and families in a remote setting.Commitment to customized learning, student growth, and continuous improvement.RESPONSIBILITIES: Teachers at Snake River Opportunities High School serve as both mentor teachers and content teachers.Teach elective or CTE courses in a virtual high school setting through strong content knowledge and effective instructional practices.Evaluate student work, provide timely feedback, and maintain accurate records.Provide customized asynchronous support for students in assigned courses in coordination with mentor teachers.Communicate regularly with students and families through email, phone calls, and virtual meetings.Develop and revise elective or CTE courses, learning resources, and program offerings to support student engagement and school priorities.Participate in schoolwide responsibilities such as MTSS, IDLA assessment proctoring, and career spotlight activities.WORK SETTINGWork from home, with periodic in-person team meetings, student activities, adventure experiences, and face-to-face mentoring responsibilities as needed throughout the year, including occasional extended or overnight commitments.SalaryPlacement on the Snake River School District salary schedule based on experience.CLOSING DATE: Open Until FilledSTART DATE: May 29, 2026. This position will begin with a summer school support assignment from May 29 through June 26, 2026.
