The Assembler will be responsible for assemble, laps seats, sets and test product per manufacturer standards, completes test reports, seals and tags valves. THIS IS A 2ND SHIFT - 2pm - 10pm, M-F, overtime as needed.
Requirements
Trim Teflon
Clean rupture disc and holder parts
Cut outside diameters of rupture discs
Spot weld components
Operate presses and other required equipment
Use co-bots and other automated and robotic equipment
Proof pressure and leak tests
Inspect completed rupture disc assemblies to verify that they conform to specifications
Assemble units and prepare them for shipping
Perform any listed essential functions in a high-volume repetitive manner when required
Utilize and supervise the performance of automated machines
Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing machine performance issues
Comply with company productivity and quality requirements
Operate forklift when and as needed
Perform other duties as assigned, based on workload and business need
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED
1-3 months work experience in a production environment. Previous experience in a production position at CDC is preferred.
TECHNICAL/FUNCTION SPECIFIC:
Ability to read blueprints
Basic math and reading skills
Computer skills
Working knowledge of industrial equipment used to produce rupture discs
BEHAVORIAL:
Willingness and ability to follow all manufacturing procedures and company policies

Concern for quality, accuracy and safety
Ability to stay on task and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines
Positive attitude and ability to work well with others, including peers, supervisors, executive management and outside vendors, representatives and visitors when called upon
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Motor skills sufficient to successfully and safely use required tools and machinery
Ability to stand and/or walk for majority of scheduled shift, typically 8-10 hours per day, though possibly more when overtime is required
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and safety shoes
