Runner / Groundworker / Apprentice Lighting Installer

The Company Lovelight Solutions helps commercial and multi-family facility owners and managers significantly lower their utility bills through energy-efficient lighting upgrades throughout Northern California. We make it easy for our customers to improve their lighting, lower operating costs, and reduce environmental impact. We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and positive team member to join our installation crew as a Runner / Groundworker / Apprentice Installer. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the electrical or energy efficiency field while gaining hands-on experience in commercial lighting installations. Duties / Role: Assist lead electricians and project leads with commercial lighting retrofit installations Prep fixtures, lamps, drivers, controls, and materials for installation Load in and load out materials, tools, ladders, and equipment Break down boxes, remove debris, and maintain a clean and organized job site Make material pickup, delivery, recycling, and dump runs as needed Help track materials, inventory, and leftover project components Support installation efficiency by anticipating crew needs and staying productive Perform basic lighting installation tasks and electrical work under supervision Learn safe and proper use of ladders, lifts, power tools, and job site procedures Drive company vans and occasionally transport materials between job sites Represent the company professionally with customers, tenants, and team members Requirements: Responsible, dependable, punctual, and hard working Positive attitude and willingness to learn Good communication skills and ability to work well with a team Comfortable working with tools, ladders, and lifts Able to lift 50+ lbs and work on active commercial job sites Clean driving record and ability to drive company vehicles safely Reliable transportation to and from job sites Willingness to work throughout the Bay Area and Northern California Comfortable with occasional early mornings, night work, or weekend work when needed Basic construction, lighting, or electrical experience is a plus, but not required Basic hand tools and drill preferred (or willingness to acquire them over time) Ideal Candidate: Wants to grow into an electrical or lighting technician career Takes pride in doing quality work and staying productive Works safely and follows directions well Has strong work ethic and attention to detail Enjoys hands-on work and being part of a team Interested in sustainability, energy efficiency, and the green economy Pay: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) matching Health insurance On-the-job training Paid time off Work Location: In person
