Sets up and operates automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment. May communicate with equipment technicians relating to highly complex issues.Verifies equipment data for reporting. Ability to gather and document information. Ability to lift/move heavy objects. Mechanical knowledge. Safety knowledge.Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.Ability to operate simple machinery with accuracy and attention to detail.Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.Physical RequirementsRequires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.May need to stand for long periods of time.Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.May be requested to work a different shift.Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.This position is Safety-Sensitive.Travel RequirementsNo or very little travel likely._____________________________The above statements describe the general nature and level of work only.
