Randolph, VT - Salary Range 90-120kJob BriefThis position will oversee construction phase services, resident and inspection staff, and coordinate with engineering divisions to provide construction adjacent tasks during non-construction months, managing the workload for the entire Construction Group. This includes internal and external business development, and alignment of Group goals and tasks to our engineering division's differing needs.ResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintain a solid working relationship with clients, including former clients and municipalities' region-wide.Perform networking activities.Prepare agreements for construction phase services including determination of labor and reimbursable expense cost; Including fee development and negotiation of fees.Prepare proposals in response to RFP's for construction phase servicesContact and market construction phase services to communities, private enterprises, state and federal agencies.Maintain and/or improve procedures/protocol for managing the construction services department.Hire and supervise construction observation and field office staffDevelop and maintain team construction observation standardsDevelop staffing plans and schedules to meet workload requirements, delivering quality service in compliance with client requirements and expectationsBe able to follow and adhere to all local, state and federal OSHA requirementsProvide advice to in-house design staff regarding constructabilityWork collaboratively with other D&K staff, mentoring and training of junior staff to encourage involvement with design reviews, cost estimating, specification preparation, and promotion of construction phase servicesManage sub-consultantsRequirements15+ years of experience managing construction projectsStrong preference for experience in Consulting Engineering, or similar fieldsBachelor's Degree or higher preferred, but not requiredWillingness to travel up to 20% of the timeConnections to New England with an understanding of local construction and geologic conditionsCompensation:$120,000 per year
