Essential Job FunctionsRepairing and maintaining construction equipmentTravel to various job sitesClass ADisassemble, clean, and reassemble all construction equipmentFollow specifications and procedures in service manuals and select the designated toolsMeasure and identify parts and components for reusability or replacement, ordering new parts as requiredUse all test and diagnostic equipment available to adjust machines and systemsMake warranty recommendations and reports in representation of a prime productPerform minor welding, fabrication, plumbing alignment, and D.C. electric repairsGuide/supervise subordinates in the repair of machinery equipmentPractice all good housekeeping and safety measures and proceduresComplete service reports in the English LanguageAssist in the parts ordering processProcess warranty work ordersProcess revenue field service work orders, obtain purchase orders from customersOpen and close Work OrdersTake phone calls for service jobsCommunicate the job status, progress, and/or problems to the customerComplete special projects as neededNon-essential Job FunctionsAssist the Service Manager with various tasksMaintain a clean workspace and/or truckPhysical Demands and Working Conditions:Walking and moving about on foot often through uneven terrainLifting over 50 lbs. frequentlyHands/arms operating equipment, hand, and power toolsSeizes, helps, or works with handsRaises or lowers miscellaneous equipment parts and toolsExtends hands and arms in any directionBends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waistRemains in standing position if required for certain repair or maintenance workClimbing In and out of equipmentRead work tickets, parts, and service books and operate heavy equipmentCommunication by radio, phone, and in-personHears well enough to discern mechanical problems for safety in and around shop and construction sites and to receive communication by radio, phone, and in-personSits in equipment and vehiclesLies in a prone position under vehicles and equipmentKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to use MICROSOFT EXCEL, WORD.
