Microsoft Fabric Data Architect

Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Fabric Data Architect to support the migration of existing data platforms into Microsoft Fabric. This role will work closely with the Director of BI to modernize and scale the data ecosystem, enabling advanced BI, machine learning, and AI initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and architect the migration of existing data platforms to Microsoft FabricDesign and implement scalable Lakehouse architectures and PySpark-based data solutionsReview and optimize Spark-based data engineering pipelinesDevelop and validate Power BI semantic models for enterprise reportingEnable machine learning and AI capabilities, including embedded BI-driven ML solutionsSupport integration with Azure Machine Learning and MLOps frameworksProvide guidance on data architecture best practices, governance, and scalabilityCommunicate architectural decisions, trade-offs, and strategies to technical and business stakeholdersRequired Skills & ExperienceStrong expertise in Microsoft FabricDeep understanding of Data Lake and Lakehouse architecturesHands-on experience with Apache Spark (PySpark, Spark SQL)Proficiency in Power BI, including semantic modelingExperience with Azure Machine LearningKnowledge of Azure MLOps and model lifecycle managementPreferred QualificationsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilitiesExperience working in enterprise-scale data environments
