Overview: Life Engagement Partner RiverWoods is currently hiring for a full time Activities Assistant, what we call a Life Engagement Partner. You will work with our residents by encouraging them to lead a more active lifestyle and engage in programs which benefit them socially, cognitavely, spiritually and physically. The ideal candidate will have actuivity experience and have a passion for working with people. This is a full time position with work required some weekends. We are looking for team members who will bring their best selves and specialty skills to our organization. We've partnered with DailyPay, so you can work today and get paid tomorrow. - On-site fitness opportunities - Employee meal program - Education assistance Responsibilities: This position will assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, as may be directed by Life Engagement Manager. Provides quality customer service with a positive attitude and commitment to teamwork while meeting the needs of residents, staff and visitors. Supports all aspects of the RiverWoods community including RiverWoods' mission statement. Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating the activities program of the facility. Implement activity procedures as directed by the Life Engagement Manager by creating decorations, setting up necessary equipment and crafts, escorting residents to and from activity areas, and awarding prizes, assist in scheduling residents for activities, supervise activities as necessary.Encourage residents to participate in activities, promote conversations with residents on a regular basis, routinely visit residents, conduct individual and/or group activities to encourage purpose and meaning in the lives of the residents, and work with the LIfe Engagement team members to ensure that the calendar reprsents the different aspects of Life Engagement. Participate in a quality assurance program for the Life Engagement department, as requested; participate in facility surveys (inspections) conducted by authorized government agencies as necessary. Qualifications: High School Diploma required. Continued education in related field preferred but not requiredMinimum of 2 years' experience in healthcare or related fieldCPR preferred, but not required A resume is not required to apply.
