Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. Patients and their families rely on Compass Health Center when in crisis – every day, we help people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.About This Role  We are seeking a Teacher’s Assistant to join our growing team! This role will be a blend of direct patient interaction and general administration work. If you are passionate about providing patients with exemplary care, while being sensitive to their individual psychiatric conditions, you would be a great addition to our team.Our location in Northbrook is our first and largest facility, and consists not only of our widest variety of programs, but also serves as a pilot site for many of our new treatment offeringsThis is a full time position throughout the school year with summers off.  What You'll Do:Provide daily supervision and support for the learning environment across U18 programsImplement classroom behavior management strategies for patients as neededSet up and facilitate rooms for supervised study, ensuring room is equipped with appropriate suppliesDistribute printed work sent by email or printed from online resources.Scan and e-mail completed work back to school contactsManage, proctor and support the administration of assessments for each patient, including noting special instructions/testing accommodationsSet up computers/tablets for patients and support patients to connect to Compass Guest Wifi, in addition to securing all Compass technology when not in useMonitor patient technology use to ensure patients are following technology guidelinesEngage in frequent communication and collaboration with team membersCheck and respond to daily emails, voicemails and Teams messagesEnsure safe patient transitions from room to roomCommunicate patient requests with doctors/nurses/therapists/teachers, as neededSupport with walking patients to/from lobby when they arrive and need to leave, as needed.Administrative tasks such as data entry, attendance, and general paperworkMaintain patient privacy at all timesSupervise patient lunch period, as neededOther responsibilities as assignedWho You Are:Experience working with children and adolescentFlexibility is criticalExcellent time management and organizational skills, including the ability to juggle multiple demands simultaneously in a fast paced and changing environmentExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalBachelor’s Degree – preferred We are committed to a fair and equitable work environment. This range includes multiple career path levels across the organization; where you fall in the range is dependent upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, your years of experience, type of experience, location, and education/certifications.
