Heavy Mobile Equipment Repairer

Job Title The duties include: Troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, and maintaining a variety of heavy mobile equipment such as construction, industrial, combat, tactical, and powered support equipment. Removing and repairing major systems or components of equipment to include power packs, transmissions, transfers, gear reduction units, injector pumps, air conditioners, fuel pumps, and alternators. Making idle speed, current, brake, and transmission linkage adjustments. Performing initial and in-process inspections. Performing mechanical diagnostics and troubleshooting to localize defects and determine the cause of malfunction. Performing mechanical maintenance on defective parts. Performing minor body work. Providing technical assistance to unit personnel. Operating motor vehicles to perform the duties of this position.
