The team member will provide hair and beauty services such as consultations, cutting, styling, and finishing, ensuring every client receives personalized, high-quality care. Daily tasks include preparing the station and tools, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, managing appointment schedules, and recommending appropriate products and services. The role involves communicating clearly with clients to understand their preferences, offering professional suggestions, and ensuring client satisfaction from check-in to check-out. The team member will also support salon operations by assisting colleagues, following safety and hygiene protocols, and participating in ongoing training to stay current with trends and techniques.Qualifications Strong client service skills, with the ability to listen carefully, communicate clearly, and build positive, long-term client relationships.Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness, including maintaining a tidy workstation and adhering to all sanitation and safety guidelines.Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, supporting colleagues and contributing to a professional, respectful salon culture.Time management and organizational skills, including managing appointments, staying on schedule, and handling multiple tasks during busy periods.Openness to learning, including participating in training, staying updated on new beauty trends and techniques, and incorporating feedback to improve performance.Basic sales and product knowledge skills, with the ability to recommend salon services and retail products that align with client needs.Valid cosmetology or relevant beauty license for the state of Michigan, or eligibility to obtain one as required by local regulations.Previous salon, spa, or customer-facing experience in the beauty industry is preferred but not required for highly motivated candidates.
